Scott Simpson Design + Build (SSDB) is a renowned design-build firm that creates thoughtfully designed homes in Chicago’s North Shore and beyond. View Marketing & Creative has been working with their incredible team for upwards of a year on cross platform marketing designed to convert potential clients and increase company awareness in the North Shore area. 

Our initial marketing communications campaign for SSDB included building out a strategic Google Ads campaign, thoughtful SEO optimization of their pre-existing website, and a social media management plan for the upcoming months, all with the intention of increasing brand awareness and conversions for their team. Over the past year, monthly efforts have included continued optimization of Google Ads, consistent SEO updates on their site via keyword implementation and blogging, monthly social media management, and monthly reporting.

Search Engine Optimization 

In one year, the SSDB website has seen significant improvements in terms of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). 

From August 2023 to August 2024, the site has seen a 66% increase in organic keywords, and a 260% increase in top 10 & SERP keywords. Traffic value from these keywords increased by 282.6% in the same timeframe, resulting in a yearly total traffic value of $41.7K on the SSDB site.

SEO keywords on the site from blogs have increased by 123.68% from August 2023 to August 2024, due to consistent and strategic blogging. Overall, Organic Search Traffic (the amount of site users who find the site via unpaid search results due to SEO efforts, which drives visibility and clicks) increased by 215.66% over the same time frame.

Ads

Multiple customized advertising strategies have been developed for SSDB, and adapted and optimized based on performance and results. As a result, Google ads have seen a 476% increase in conversions over the past year from the year prior.

Social Media 

Due to consistent social media content creation and management, social media posting is up 35% from the past year. Facebook reach has increased by 285% and Instagram reach has increased by 16.5%. The Scott Simpson Design Build Instagram gained 301 Instagram followers from the beginning of August 2023 to the end of August 2024. In the same time period, 56 new Facebook followers were gained.

Total Conversions 

Conversions on the site (phone calls and contact form submissions) increased by 72.27% compared to the year prior. Of these conversions, 64% came from advertising efforts. Monthly conversions from August 2023 to August 2024 effectively doubled.

The importance of a cross-platform push can’t be understated in the success that the SSDB marketing channels have seen over the past year. Our approach wasn’t just about maintaining cohesive branding across channels—it was about creating content that supported and amplified other content across platforms. Whether that be a social media post that promotes a blog, an ad that pushes a specific audience to a branded website page, or a remarketing advertisement that shows relevant content to those that have viewed an Instagram post and the website, none of our strategic efforts operated in isolation.
